I stopped for fuel the other day and when I started it back up to leave and reset my trip and mpg counters, they would not work!!! So I start driving away and the A/C light is on, but no cold air is coming out!!! I turned and headed straight for the stealership because it was fri. afternoon about 4:30 and I didn't want to go all weekend all hot and bothered. I got there and decided to try and recycle power(turn it off and then back on), IT WORKED, computer reset, A/C started working and all was right in my little world.

Just thought y'all would like to know in case you had the same problem.

BTW the dealer said while not normal, it was not uncommon, DC said to unhook the battery and put it back on and "ship it"!

Mine ('05 LTD) must have had loose fuses. I brought it in because the A/C clutch would not engage. Then when I drove it up to the dealer (evening) it started working again. I then remember that it didn't engage when it's very hot outside. Service writer lifted up the hood and after poking around for a minute, pushed down on all the fuses in the front fuse box and I haven't had that A/C clutch not engaging since :)

He must have sprinkled some fairy dust in there when you weren't looking.

OR

Maybe he had some peanut butter on his fingers!

Whatever it was, glad you are back in good shape.

Later,
