Backwards odo - not!

Ok, so I missed taken the photo of the odometer at 100,000 miles (did get it at 101010 though! :wink:

).
So... I was sittin in the parking lot at work waiting for someone when I remembered the scene from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" where they raised the Ferrari on a jack and ran it in reverse to take off some miles from toolin around all day.

(I know, this is about the point where I see a really bad idea comin on....)

So, I start, yup, you guessed it, drivin around the parking lot in reverse.

2/10ths of a mile later, I realize that while I'm going backwards, the odometer is actually reading miles positively.
IE; 2/10th of a mile in reverse ADDS 2/10ths of a mile to the odometer reading.

Oh well, darn electronic monitors! :roll:

Could have told you that wouldn't work. At least it didn't turn out as bad for your KJ as it did for the Ferrari. Were you actually going to try to drive in reverse for over 1000 miles to get it back to 100,000?

Man I had to go back to the top and look again at where this all started, I know I am old but dang I really was LOST there for a while
