Hey... I notice that Jeep has a pretty good site of stuff on the Gladiator concept vehicle...

http://www.jeep.com/autoshow/news/index.html

Has anyone heard anything else about this vehicle???

Also, I understand that supposedly they'll be introducing a 4 door version of the Wrangler (Unlimited) sometime soon??

I guess I just dream of owning some sort of 4 Dr. Jeep that's a little more Hard core offroad than the Libby....

This is meant to be just a rumor/confirmation/discussion thread of what's new and upcoming in the future from Jeep....

Luis

If the gladiator goes into production it will probably be my first ride when I get out of college. That thing is amazing.

The new TK (wrangler) will be available with 4 doors. The days of hard top/soft top are gone, as due to safety requirements the panels will be solid and removable. The TK is supposed to retain solid axels.

I would trade in the KJ CRD in a heartbeat if they brought those to market. First, it has the diesel. Second, it actually has a manual transmission. I hope Jeep/DC makes the right decision, this could be what they need to make money and keep away from more cute-utes and car like SUVs.

If they build that...CRD...6 speed..."seven-slot grille, an open-air passenger compartment, a Command Trac® part-time 4x4 system, front- and rear-locking differentials, a front winch and full skid plates"...my fiancee will get her wish...she'll be driving the Liberty.

guys, that gladiator concept is the new wrangler 4 door, due out for the 2007 model year. Concept vehicles are always way more blingy than what the final vehicle ends up being.

Clint, if it isn't from Jeep, then why do they have the Jeep name on it?

Because it is a modified wrangler unlimited

BTW, when I spoke above I was thinking of the Rescue, not the gladiator.

Let me tell you, if that Gladiator comes out, my husband and I will be at the Jeep dealership as fast as we possibly can.

I am with you on the Gladiator Steak Goddess....

According to the Sales staff at Faricy down in Co Springs, the Gladiator will be available late Fall '06 as an '07, with the Diesel manual Trans first, then an auto and the V6 as options later, kinda reverse what the Lib did at first...

This is great timing.... Tricia's car will be paid off in Feb/March... I sew on E-6 in June, Gladiator in Driveway in November/December.... Towbar on KJ and hack off the top!!!

That Brute is sick! Wonder if they'd do a Cummins TD swap instead of the Hemi...

Does this mean the KJ sight will slowly dwindle and go away?

I would love to have one of those but seeing as I havent even had my KJ for a year yet, unlikely. Plus I'm sure sticker is going to be high on that with all the bells and whistles.

WOW! It has a pet door!

Is that the jack under the spare or an RPG rocket?

Seats don't look very comfy.

There's just something very wrong about a vehicle sitting on a dirt road and the tires are completely clean. No dust on the tread.

It's my understanding that the company that makes the Brute (AEV conversions?) has been stretching Wrangler chassis for a lot longer than the Unlimited has been around. They had one out a while back that was the same length as the Unlimmited, BUT! The wheelbase is longer, so the departure angle is better. More stability too. Very cool! Very expensive  Gotta admit, that brute would be sweet!!
