Fantastic B-man. You hit a home run with this one. I'm definitely interested!!!

Questions:

1. How about a high lift jack mount much like the lobster.

2. How about mounting two fuel cans side by side.

Here's what I mean on the back of my Samurai.

I'm planning on a hi-lift on the next one, Matt just didn't want one.

As far as the two cans: the arm is more than stout enough to add it as a custom option.

That's superb design and work, Boiler.

Please pardon the silly question, what is the purpose behind it? Load-bearing and higher departure angle?

1) recovery points
2) heavy tire carrier
3) gas can / hi-lift carriers
4) departure angle improvement
5) hitch / more clearance under hitch
6) method to add rear facing lights
7) armor (more durable than plastic bumper, will protect other parts better)
8) Tire clearance & access to tires (bumper is much tighter and higher at wheels than stock)

Well it looks fantastic to be sure. One question, with respect the locking clasp looks a little small. Everything is turbo (Diesel) beefy except that lock. Or so it seems.

Oh and how is the illumination of those back up lights?

just thought of this... is there a place on the bumper where a hi-lift can be used?

Are you referring to the U-bolt toggle draw clamp? It is rated for 1000 lbs of pull force. It's pretty solid, but yeah, it looks a little small. Works great though.

The back up lights seem to be pretty bright, but I only shined them by hand. They are fog lights, so they illuminate a really wide patch. They each sit in a portion of the bumper than aims about 10 degrees out and can be aimed out a little farther. You should be able to illuminate about a 160 degree patch behind the jeep with them, to a reasonable level. They are supposed to be brighter than my hella fogs that I use in the rear, and the hella's are about my favorite addition to my jeep. They are definitely higher quality, and very well sealed.

Currently just on the hitch chain rings. Due to the shape of the other portions with the inward slope on the bottom parts, there isn't really a great place to apply it. I'm open to suggestions and willing to add custom spots for lift points.

Very impressive. I'm going to be doing another large round of upgrades to the KJ this fall. I want one of these bumpers as part of the upgrades.

I would suggest having slots built in like the ARB and many other aftermarket bumper do for a hi-lift. Doesn't matter that it slopes inward they could be place on the outer areas
just a thought

X2 on the rad skid. Finally something that keeps the front suspension skid from acting like a shovel. I love it. Thanks again Chip for taking the time and putting in the effort to fab some wicked cool parts for the KJ. Part time work has been secured. Hope to see that bumper on my KJ within the year!! Only 'cause shipping to Canada for that is gonna be a killer!!

Just gotta say I really like this bumper. The design is outstanding and fits the body line superbly.

X2. I rock mine in full view, in all it's unfinished aluminum glory. (It's also easier to see now with the lift on and the bumper trimmed)

I've figured out a couple ways to fit the body even better on the next one, we'll see how it goes. Thanks!

Until I've got production down pat, I'll need a couple months warning but we're down when you're ready.

Basic bumper: $750-$950
Swing Arm with tire carrier: $250-$350
High Lift mount: $65ish
Jerrycan Mount: $65ish (works with Blitz can & holder, appx $70, not included)
Light bezels and mount: $125-$175. Only work with PIAA 1400's (approx. $180, not included)
Shipping is estimated to be $100-$250...
~~~
Ok, so I have finally subdued some of my excitement enough to actually respond, after spending the last couple weeks trying to track down an aftermarket rear bumper replacement, since I got smacked by a drunk in a TRD.
I am about ready to get in line for yours and send a deposit! Just need to confirm a couple things (am current on the post, but still unclear)
1) Option with no hitch WILL bolt-on and clear the factory MOPAR receiver/wiring harness? (not sure how 06 Sport differs from 05 Renegade)
2) Any conflict with Kilby/SkidRow gastank skid? (or word on when you will be making one? 8) )
3) HighLift Jack Points! Preferably one on each side somewhere, similar to my ARB up front
4) Can we get a cutout/mount for the factory license plate light? Required by law in Oregon
I truly am excited and thrilled by the effort you have put forth! Time and again I have heard how aftermarket Libby items have been phased out - was told by TrailReady today that they actually threw away their designs! So thanks again!
