Just to pipe in and give my 2 cents worth. Guys are blasting Mudtrac for running 80 PSI. He runs the same tires and wheels I have on my Rubicon. 245/75/R16 E-load range Goodyear . The max pressure at 3042 pounds is 80psi. SO, not to be a smart butt, but he can run 80 PSI if he wants. It will make no difference other than ride and may cause a different wear pattern. He's running the pressure that will allow him to carry the maximum capacity. So quit blasting him on tire pressure, that’s his option and it's perfectly safe, if you want to argue about that write Goodyear. If you don't have something helpful to say don't post.

I have a 1 ton Dodge dullie and it has E rated tires. I pull a 24 goose neck trailer load to 10,000 lbs and only run 50 psi in the tires.... 80 psi is way too much in E rated tires especially for the little jeep.

80 psi is the max.. That doesnt mean you should run 80 cold. The reason then are cupping is b/c you have to much pressure in them for the weight of the jeep. This is causing to much wear on the center of the tire, thus the wear on the center of the tire..

Hey guys, I dont think anyone is doubting that running high pressure is going to cup the tire. Everyone has their own ideas and ways of doing things, I know this was a suggestion for the fix, but I dont think that too much pressure would cause the sidewalls to squash and make the truck unstable. I do think that the counter balancing that the dealer did when they balanced the tires to begin with had an effect on the tire separating. I thank everyone for their help in my problem. Some people just come off a little strong on their opinion of how things should or should not be. And then to have 10 people chime in and say the same thing over again can get kinda over kill. Thanks again, Im glad there are so many people on the forum that can comment and try and suggest help for all of our problems. And as suggested I'll try and run lower pressure in the future. Like I said before though, I only started running that AFTER the tires were cupped. It seemed to help witht he noise and hwy vibrations.
