Ouch! Sorry about your damage! I did that in my old Ford Ranger once. Backed right into our littel yard-mounted lightpost. Wham! That stupid light never did work right after that.

Mice + Cars = huge $$

I have been lucky so far, my Jeep has been spared from the wrath of the mice. My moms car, however was not (x2). So first, on her 98 ML320, a mouse got into the vent system, stunk up the whole car, and caused the poor mechanic to just about lose his lunch, as well as making a sizeable dent in my mom's purse. Luckily the dealer taught us how to get to the vent system so we could clean it once in a while.

That car has since been traded in. Her next car, a 06 ML350...a mouse got in. Chewed on the wires, and if any of you know, those new Benzs are a computer on wheels. My mom goes to turn it on, it doesn't turn over, it just says drive to dealer in 2nd gear (which is impossible as it has a 7 speed auto and no way to select a gear and hold it) and it also doesn't turn over. So we get the tow truck...the tow truck can't get it out of the garage, because some security feature prevents it from being towed...the wheels won't turn. Not wanting to drag a $50,000 SUV out of the garage, the tow company has to go get some special adapter to get the wheels to turn. So they get it to the dealer...final bill $2000. The mouse somehow chewed through some critical wire and it had to be replaced.

Mice suck. I keep having to clean nesting materials fron under the thing in the engine that says 3.7L on it (air box maybe?)

yea that would be attched to your throttle body from the air box...they might be coming in through the snorkel like scoop towards the fron tof the engine bay...might want to get some sort of chicken wire cut to drape over and attach to that opening and maybe that might help...might want to check your filter too...just my .02
