Snowgod, luv the pick of your dog drivin'! Must be nice on really long trips.

As far as my boys go leashes are out of the question. Seats down, Danes own the back. Only other option is to hook to the tow rope & give the motor a rest. :P

I wheeled with both of my dogs in Colorado for a week. I gave them 1/2" of a Dramamine (spelling?) pill each and they chilled for most of the trip. It did not put them to sleep but helped them to be calm and not get sick. Otherwise, the had free roam of the back seat and after short learning curve, were pro's at keeping their feet.

thats the only thing i dont like about having my pup in the lib. when he goes form front to back or vice versa he hits the auto down for the windows, once he did it in the auto wash as the arm was coming around the drivers side needless to say i didnt get it up in time and got sprayed with simonex and so did the front of the cab

Wow that sucks. Yeah my dog has hit the window controls a few times, it usually suprises her. I don't think I'd take her in with a car wash, she gets scared by wierd machines and situations. That's one problem with the KJ's window controls being in the center.

MP Jeeper, your dogs and a tow strap could replace a winch

yeah but the fun part is when you have someone who was never in a lib and they unlock and lock the doors trying to put the window up/down

Lol, yeah it's always great. I've had people ask how to get out since they couldn't find the door latches.

We have two mutts, one beagle/chow mix who comes in around 40 pounds and the other a mini dachshund mix somewhere under 20. The bigger one just hangs out in the back watching for squirrels, the little one is too curious for his own good and likes to chew on important things like seatbelts and leather wrapped steering wheels, so he rides in his crate with the big fluffy pillow. Both of them seem to like it.

As for all those little window and lock buttons... all I can say is don't leave your keys in the jeep with the dogs... one of them WILL find the door locks and neither of them will EVER "accidently" step on the switch to put the window down no matter how nicely you ask!
