So,
Towing in Reverse 2-High or 4-High = Bad
Towing in Reverse 4-Low = Good ?

Nope tow going forward so that YOU can see where YOUR jeep is going
it is up to who ever is driving the other rig to wach where they are going

Besides all of that if you are towing with your back to what ever you are towing and somthing like a hook breaks it must pass through both the rear head rest and the front head rest to hit you towing looking at the other rig your only protection is the winsheild

You should only recover another vehicle with a soft strap...a hook or shackle on the end of the tow strap itself is a very bad idea!

Last check ,and I may be wrong, EVERY JEEP made came with tow HOOKS on the front

But i know what you are talking about trust me

Nope. Not every KJ gets tow hooks up front.

Smitty,

It all depends on the stuck when you strap someone and pull in reverse.

I think he's saying that not all KJs come with hooks (or anything else) up front. It's an option (part of the off-road package). Or at least that was the case when I bought mine in 2001.

Last week a old charter bus (like a grayhound bus ) was parked at McDonals and it would not start it was on a small incline.a guy in an 03 liberty pulled it up that incline and the bus driver got it started. I thought all busses were auto, but it was that old and had a strait. I did not see it have any truble and he did hot say it shaked or anything.I think they were selling those busses over seas.any way he back up about 75" and it supprised me that it went back at all. dont think I would try that in mine.

That is what I was saying. Hooks were optional items.
