Actually, the Profinish-Proglass is functional.

Sorry if i wasn't clear in my previous post. I was talking about the hood from carhoods not being functional as they sell it.

that's why I use a 60 amp electric supercharger to assist mine at full throttle.

more details please about your supercharger (my bad if this turns into a thread hijack).

I would recommend a Fastman throttle body too.

For those who are interested, i received an email from the fastman last week informing me he was back up and running.

It's just an e-Ram. It's similar to a heavy duty ducted fan like they use an remote control jets. I'm using a WOT switch to only activate it at full throttle. I hooked it up with a Batcap 300, which is a cross between a capacitor and a battery, that can provide 300 amps for 5 seconds. That way it doesn't hit the rest of my electrical system. It is nothing like a 7 or 8 psi supercharger or turbo. I haven't dyno'd it, but I would say the manufacturer claims of 4-6% are pretty close based off other modifications and dyno runs I have done.

I don't know that Terry will be very receptive to a group buy. On one of the other forums a dozen people said they wanted them. However, I was the only person who purchased one. I had to wait for him to have enough left over fiberglass from a big job to make a run of just one of them.

From what I've read, it appears Terry at Profinish-Proglass sold the mold of the KJ hood to Suncoast Automotive Performance: http://suncoastcreations.com/jeep-liberty-ramair-hood-prod.html. I am interested in buying one. Since Suncoast now produces the hood, would anyone be interested in a group buy?
