Just my $.02...

I always have a come-along in my Jeep and they have proven indispensable at times. If you get in a precarious situation that involves a complex pull or if your vehicle is on the virge of tipping they can allow lateral pulls to keep you in line. I have also used them to stabilize a vehicle when forced to change an axle on a slope.

It's just another tool to have that can prove useful if you ever need it... just remember to cover and weight any parts that might whip and use a doubler if the load is iffy for the equipment...
