LOL... Jeep may have designed the Liberty to appeal to women, but many of us guys saw the advantages in the Liberty over the TJ Wrangler when it came to comfort and versatility, that we rode off into the sunset in a Liberty. Now a stock liberty may not go everywhere a stock Wrangler can go, but it'll get you darn close. Throw on full skids, A/T tires... then you can get out in the dirt and play hard. I've been able to keep up on most trails with the lifted Liberty's, so that says a lot about the stock Liberty.

Oh, and yeah... some of the AZ LOST gang have so much confidence in our Liberty's, that we proudly display the sticker shown below on our back window. You ought to see the looks we get when we go by a group of modified Wranglers on the trail as they shake their heads. AND then, to top it off, they see the got groceries? sticker. It kind of deflates their egos a little.....

Image

I owned a TJ, and later, bought a KJ for it's comfort. I sold the old TJ and recently bought a new JK... now that's the best of both worlds. It's real capable straight out of the box and more comfortable than our KJ, but that's a different topic for a different day.

The bottom line, the Liberty is a Jeep, and it will get you there. So who cares who it was designed for? :D

You know.... maybe this is a good thing that a liberty be considered a women vehicle, think about it...... women will be attracted to your jeep then :D . Women are the only ones that i hear from that say a liberty is a nice car as they claim it to be. I never hear that from any guys about liberty's. So see we are attracting women to our jeeps, we just dont know it.

When I was looking for a new vehicle, I wanted a 4wd but not a pickup. I wanted real 4wd. Not push button or turn the knob on the dash or AWD. That almost rules out anything but a Jeep. I decided against the new GC because the laredo now comes standard with auto 4 x 4. and a Wrangler just wasnt practical for me. I chose the Liberty. No regrets. No one has ever made the comment that I drive a girlie Jeep and It wouldnt bother me. I guess at 51 I am pretty secure in who I am. I see just as many guys driving a Liberty as girls. And I have received compliments on my stock Liberty. Maybe it's because it was the first Jeep Green Liberty in town. May still be the only one. Was also complimented on how well it goes in a foot of freshly fallen snow, even when stock.

I fondly remember the 1st trail run I went on here in CO,after the trail run and filling up the tank at the gas station some guy came up to me and thanked me for making a KJ that looks "manly".

I was told the same thing at a gas station when I was heading out to a Trail Ride and the store employee complimented me by saying " Is that a liberty? It looks good! Its then only one i've seen that doesn't look like a p***y mobile"

If anyone dis-es the Liberty, Just tell them it is the modern-day hard top CJ5. Works for me. But then again, I have never really cared what other people think about me. I just do what makes me-and-mine happy!
