I heard of that before. People buying aftermarket locking gas caps from a parts store and having the CEL. I've always been told to get the locking ones or replacements from the dealer. Hope it fixed the problem. I would have said something earlier but figured you had one from the dealer.

I would have gotten one from the dealer right away but it's easier to get one from the auto parts store. Plus everyone said that it should work. I guess not. Thanks again!

I took the road less traveled. Now I'm LOST.

It is a common problem ... I used a "Q"-tip to coat the seal with Vaseline ... that is a temp fix ....if the seal is cracked you will have to replace the cap.
