Wasn't it CR that did a "best for off road suv" test and picked a pickup truck (toyota tundra) and excluded the Wrangler because they said it was "disigned for off road use" Well, like duh. I'm still waiting for my POS (as per CR) 1993 Plymouth Voyager to prove they were right, that it was crap. After 13 years, I'm still waiting, every day when I drive it to work, on trips, etc.. I'm, waiting. At 150k miles, I'm still waiting. Ohwell, maybe I should buy some of those best buys instead so I don't have to wait so long.

Isn't the Xterror on a truck frame? Why didn't they use a Rubi instead? I mean if they wanted to do an off road test, why not get a vehicle that was "designed" for it?

Because they are stupid. That sums everything up with that.

My mom got 275k out of her 1990 Chevy Lumina!! TWO SEVENTY FIVE!! Just got rid of it last fall, I mean she got it when I was in 8th grade!! I don't think they rated too well with CR or anyone...
