Has anyone used that Plasti Dip primer that is advertised on their site? Supposedly it makes the coating stick better to metal.

I used the pre-dip spray they sell for $10 or whatever it is. I did the hood emblem with pre-dip and rear Jeep emblem without.

Front emblem is still staying strong (even through 8,000 miles of driving) and the rear had peeled off by itself. I used pre-dip on the back and it has been fine since then.

The pre-dip really cleans all of the surfaces well, and I cleaned that rear emblem with some mild soap the first time around. For a few extra bucks, it was worth it.

Used Plasti-dip on my emblems. Still holding up real well. The trick was to do alot of thin coats. Did 4 thin coats, about 6 months ago. With washing the Jeep once a week, and driving on salty winter roads, the emblems still look great.

Love that it's not perminant, and can change it at any time.
