You're completely right TonyCRD, this is not the place for this; however, when I'm made to look like an booty I feel I am warranted an explanation of my side of the story. But I am content now, you can all take this for what it's worth.

Getting back to the point of this thread, I firmly believe the stock Patriot can handle any bit of light off-roading you throw at it. Beef it up with some rails and a lift and it'll handle quite a bit more. The only issue I've had with mine is a severe loss of power at altitude. Above above 8k feet climbing steep grades becomes questionable. I blame it on the engine/CVT transmission combination after several tests. If I had the CRD option with a normal hydraulic auto transmission, I'd have nothing to complain about!

I dont plan to argue and say that the patriot is not capable off road as you patriot owners have proven before that it can offroad, BUT, its not as capable as a kj stock for stock. Im sorry but its just not, the only reason i nsay this is because you made that comment in your post that it is. I wish you luck in your future mods and wheeling and hope some of the issues in this htread do get resolved and so everyone can get along.

We have at least a couple of Patriot owners who are trying to lead the way in modding their Jeeps and instead of trying to help them, there seem to be several people here who belittle them for it. That's not cool and it's not what this forum is all about.

Also, if you have a personal problem with someone, it should be handled through Private Messages, not in the open forum.
