Post subject:  Mopar Roof Rails?

I bought some Mopar roof rails not long ago from a fellow Lost member and Im not to sure if they are on right. I have them to where the smallest part of the wedge is facing the front. That means they get bigger as they go back. Should the thick part of the wedge be facing the front? The reason i ask is b/c they make some noise around 70mph and its kinda annoying.

I dont know how they mount but you could just mount them the other way and see if its any better.

The thin edge should be facing forward, and that should reduce you wind noise. If not, you may want to consider adding a fairing.

Three notes:

1. I have mine on the other way (wide end to front). Mine have a sticker on the underside indicating that is the proper orientation. Also, from a physics perspective, it makes more sense to have the wing facing forward rather than aft.
2. I had an annoying whine from mine for a while...I ascertained it was coming from the front crossbar...I moved it back about 4", and problem solved.
3. FYI: Get a renegade light bar...no more noise at all!
