Post subject:  HELP bad vib/walk

like the post says we have a realy bad vibration at any speed over 70mph along with the vib comes a walk from side to side on the highway
at 68mph no problem at all at 78mph "hold on"
we brought it to a tire place about 4-6 months ago and they said that i had a "broken belt in the tire" they advised me to rotate out the tires starting with the front until it goes away as luck would have it the first one fixed it but just to be sure i pulled the other and put the first in its place and the problem returned
well now i cant do that cause i have only 3 good tires if that is the real problem

so the questions are
has any one heard of a "broken belt" befor?
if it is a broken belt and the tires have less than 25,000 miles on them is there warranty?
could it be something else and the tire place is full of c#$p?
i cant see it beeing any thing else other than tires but who knows could be LBJ's or something dumb like that but if it is that what is the mogg lbj pn and where could i get some??

If your tire has a broken belt you should have it replaced ASAP,it's a accident waiting to happen(like the firestones and ford exploders).Broken belts do happen, but not often and should be replaced ASAP.Check the warrenty info for the tires about warrenty coverage, the tire shop should have replaced the tire instead of rotating it,you may be able to take legal action against the tire shop if they have in wrighting that you had a broken belt and recommended just rotating your tires, that is just a very unsafe practice. If it was the LBJ's it would do it at all speeds, you can get the MOOG LBJ's any place that sells MOOG parts the part # is K 3199 and run about $60.00-$65.00 apeice.
