Okay I tried to mount the mag lite with peanut butter and I went with generic so I don't think it was as strong as Jiffy, or Peter Pan so I splurged and got a Litegrip billet aluminun mag light mount. I wanted something more than the plastic and double sided tape mounts that mag lite sells. I just saw me breaking it in a week or two. Anyways the mount got here today and darn this thing is heavy I see why shipping was 12 bucks and it took a week to get here. I like it though it's got a screw type deal to hold the light in place. I don't really know who (other than me) would spend a total of 30 buck just to stop the light from rolling around the KJ. All in all VERY solid product a little more in price than most would pay and probally a little more than most ppl would want. If you're like me and a little on the LAZY side then this would be perfect. 2 screws to mount it and very little brain power needed (where figuring out how to make your own might save you money but hey like I said I'm lazy) Just thought you would like to know about it. I know maglite mounting procedure is the dead horse laying next to the fuel milage horse, but it's an option.

Welcome to the club! I wish there was a good place in the KJ for their fire extinguisher mount.

To me it makes more sense if the screw holes are on the flat side of the mount. Since the screw holes are on the curved side, that means the mount can sort of move up and down slightly along the curved edge, right?

No. the flatside mounts against wherever your mounting it. In my case, it was onto the frame of my Limited drivers seat. The holes on the curved side are there in order to get a drill / screwdriver into the mount to attach the recessed screws (not supplied). Properly mounted, the LiteGrip doesn't move or slip at all.

All this talk and no pictures? Even though some people cringe at the mention of a mag lite mount, I'm sure there are a couple folks on here who would like to see the fancy one.

Well no per say..........but the company I work for is contracted to the postal service and I do haul mail from a large post office to smaller and rural post offices .
Seriously though one reason I carry(legaly licenced to) a handgun is because it is like "methhead" central around here and them freeks are capable of anything to get their "fix". That and I've carried (except at work) for the last 15 years and fell kinda naked without it ,especialy when I out in the middle of nowhere around here. Never know when you're going to run into a methhead tending his lab.
