Couple of friends of mine have rooftop tents on their Land Rovers and they are a doddle to open and close. You just have to remember that you're on the roof if you wake in the night needing to go for a pee.

Looks like one of those bugs laying a BIG jeep egg. Made me think of Alien. Cool tent. Almost like taking a portable garage with you.

check Craigslist - the tents were freebie's when the Liberty was launched in 02

some dealerships had a few for a while afterwards - long gone now
