Hi, all!

I'm moving to Idaho pretty soon. Looking at the info on this board, there doesn't appear to be a local L.O.S.T. group in the Spud state.

So, If I want to participate in any trail adventures should I go down to a state that DOES have a listed chapter (i.e. Utah, Colorado) or am I just out of luck?

I'm going to be in country by the end of the year so, I'm hoping to hook-up with some KJ folks to learn the ropes of my new vehicle and to have fun exploring the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S.

Mods, if this post should be some where else, I apologize in advance. You can blame it on my newbie-ness.

I think LOST KJ NorthWest is your closest bet. We would love to have you here at LOST Rockies, but I think you are closer to the Northwest guys. You could start a LOST SPUDS region and see how many Spudders are interested there in Idaho. Probably draw in Spokane area folks and perhaps some western Montana and Northwest Wyoming folks.

...sounds like the name of a spin-off based on the ABC TV show only, it would take place in a kitchen and air on the Food Network!

I appreciate the input though, Tokyojoe. I was just hoping to hook up with some other LOST folks who could teach me the ropes on my new KJ.

I've had some off-road training from the AF. I know how to drive your basic Hummer, Duece; 1/2 truck, and 5 ton truck in off-road conditions. I'm sure the basic concepts will still apply. It would be great to learn what the KJ can handle from someone who is experienced with that particular vehicle though.

Are there any members who post or lurk here from the Southern Idaho area? If so, please let me know and I'll get in touch with you once I arrive "in country."

I'm already excited about the potential learning, comradery, and fun AND I'm still several months away from returning to the states! :D
