Post subject:  Noise in back passenger area??

I've got this noise in the back and I can't figure where it's coming from. I've literly shaken the passenger rear door, seat, plastic piece holding the headliner up, rear door, flip glass. I just can't figure where it's coming from. And of course the only time I hear it is when I am on the road. It sounds like it's coming from inside. It's kinda sounds like glass hitting metal...kinda of "dunk" sound but nothing is loose.

I thought I had a whining in the rear end, but when I checked it was just the wife griping.

I think it was either the wiring harness for my hitch or could have been the plastic molding that may have been loose. I made sure both were secure...so far so good...

If it is only happening when driving, here is how you diagnose the problem.

1) Duct tape childrens mouths, hands and feet.
2) Remove all toys from passenger area.
3) Turn sub woofer and music off.....

:-)r

See, its fixed now huh???

No, you have it all wrong. Turning the music up is how you get rid of random noises!

I had a squeak in my passenger seat. It squeaked when ever I went fishing, camping, or wheeling on the weekends. I just couldn't get it to stop. Then one day the squeaking was so unbearable, I had to open the door and let her out. No problems since......

Stock shocks. The noise is from a clip in the molding that won't go back into the metal. It's in the rear where I pulled out to install my hitch wiring. I am not sure if I can just go to a parts store and get one. It's like it lost it's 'spring' and won't spread once its through the hole.

Post subject:  Noise from the back

One thing I found out about my Libby before I bought it was that if you are on the highway or just driving in your neighborhood @ over 45MPH leave your front windows up and roll down your back windows; you will get a weird howling/helicopter noise from the wind. I think this was fixsed in 2005 and newer models. :P

The noise is a gremlin. Don't get it wet, don't feed it after midnight, you may a few more serious problems if you do.
