I just want to say publicly that hopefully along with most of you, I'm very happy with my DC Jeep(s). In fact, we are a total Jeep family. With regular maintenance, we have never had any complications with our Jeeps other then who gets to drive what Jeep for the day.
During the entire summer, the top, along with the doors, have been off the TJ. In fact, I don't remember where I stored them. Nothing beats a summer evening drive in the mountains with a TJ and no doors. This is a great reason to own a Jeep.
And The KJ. The comfort of leather seats and a sunroof? Who wouldn't enjoy a vehicle that is great for highway travel as well as, "Hey, I wonder where that trail goes?" capability. And both.... for 50K!
I also feel for all you with complications.

Well said. My KJ is my first Jeep, but definitely not my last. I grew up die-hard Ford, but I've been converted.

yea I feel the same. I am on my second KJ and have loved both of them. If I could have any wish...I would wish that I still had the 45 tranny from my 02 in my 04... The 45 was rock solid for dang sure. But I have well over 37000 miles on the new KJ and it is not even a year old yet so I guess I can't complain. later...Clint

I have to say that I have a special bond with Jeeps for the reason that it may have saved my life when I was 8yrs old. So this is going to be the manufacture of choice as long as they make a quality and dependable vehicle that I can afford. Plus I have almost 40k on mine in the first year and my wife has put 21k on her 04 Grand and the only problem is the axel seal leak on my Libby.

I love my KJ, it's my first jeep and won't be my last. Trying to convince my bro to get an XJ, someone hit him and he's out looking for another car :-). All the complications I have are with the dealer ;-) Theives they are!!

I'm only 24 and i'm on my 3rd Jeep. I learned to drive in a 1985 XJ that my parents bought new and fell in love with it. I almost cried when we sold it in 2002 after driving it 17 years and 190,000 miles. It still ran when we sold it.

I was so happy when I got my 04 KJ, I had been wanting one since they came out but being a college student at the time I just couldn't get one. But I think the day I got the 04' and every day after, I think I said something like "I wish I would have waited untill I could afford a 4x4" Well here I am with an 05 renny and couldn't be happer with it.

Can't say I've ever had any problem with the 04' at 19,000 miles. In fact my dad bought it from me and I think he really likes it.

Good for you all. I've had all types of cars and trucks from many manufactures, and I have to say, Jeep has won me over. Every vehicle has their pros and cons, but if I'm going to pay all this $$, for all those years in payments, I'm going to drive something that fits my lifestyle, and right now, a jeep fits just right.
