It looks like i have to replace my front driverside tire because there looks to be sidwall damage ..... They are 245/75r16 a/t sport kings. oh, get this, 3 weeks ago, i blew out the front passenger side, too because of sidewall damage, and havent had the chance to replace the spare ... and, to top that off, i have to have both front end shocks and a strut replaced because they are leaking!

You are so Ruffffffffffffffff

Maybe you need to replace the two front tires with a higher range MT ( E load rated ) with thicker sidewalls. Something with an eight ply rating...

Go ahead and upgrade the front struts to something like the OME's that won't top out so easily.

side wall blow outs suck no doubt about that
but I hope that you are not replacing 2 shocks and a strut on the front cause you have 0 shocks in the front :D

I have stockers with about 13K on them. Today the sidewall on the drivers front went out while driving and the TPM didn't go off because it dropped so quickly. Didn't notice it in handleing either. Didn't blow but just as good as and I don't really wheel. Paper thin side walls suck.

I have had more flat tires with these tires than any I have ever had. They look at a rock in the road and eat it.

I would replace those tires. Have you read this thread yet?

How did you replace 2 front shocks and a strut? Did you mean 2 rear shocks and a front shock?

Thats great man.....I laughed on that line.. Go get the BFG's. I love mine.
I always slapped on BFG AT/KO's on every Jeep that I owned. I find that they really make the Jeeps stick to the road and great traction off road. Actually, I seem to think that they handle the KJ so awsome on and off road. Even in rain and snow I do not have any problems with fish tailing at all in bad weather.
I love how stiff of a tire it is. And the side wall is so hard it will take alot of rock rubbing or "curb hitting" ( MY WIFE) before they wear out.
my wife gets stock tires. other wise I would be paying for tires that she will destroy.....

BFG's ROCK!

I ordered a bf goodrich a/t today ... it'll cost me $93, and then when i get paid again, i will replace the spare with one too, and then eventually get the other 2! oh, as far as the shocks, the shocks are shot ... when i took it in, th eguy who installed the kit, pushed down on it and it is awfully bouncy, plus it makes a knocking sound (kklunking) noise when i go over bumps and stuff.
and, yes, i will admit ..... i hit the curbs when i park sometimes :( i think thats how i blew the shocks out? when i was turning into a parking lot, i hit the corner of the curb really hard, it got the construction guys attention :x
ok enough said :D

Were did you find the BFG at's for that price in a 245/75r-16?!

They cost me almost twice that. I know I could have got them cheaper in Portland (100 miles away) or mailorder (+shipping & mounting), but I got a friend at a local tire shop to get me a price break off there regular price of $185 each down to $170 each. The "cheap" off brand tires in a LT245/75R16 at Les schwab or Tire Factory here was $145 each.

I got my BFG's AT/KO for $107 each. I bought all 5 of them from tirerack.com
The tires were at my house the next afternoon after I paid them with my CC.
I have never seen that kind of fast delivery before, it was even faster the the IRS bill.....LOL

You like them construction guys huh?

Hitting that curb could of been what caused the blow out? I do not think that would of busted a shock though. I guess its a possibility? :?

OF COURSE, THAT & MILITARY :D

I got the tire from Discount Tire .....
I am going to assume i killed the shocks when i hit the curb really hard making a r. hand turn into the parking lot, because that;s the side it's leaking from, and maybe when i took it offroad w/ my ex and was going to fast, and it hit a "minor" bump in the dirt and they flew up and hit their heads  man, am i gonna miss offroading :x :(

If I were to bet on what killed the shocks/strut I would bet big on the going fast and hitting a minor bump and flying thing not hitting the curb
the curb would do in a side wall but it would cause a side force and that has nothing to do with the shocks
