I tried like hell to get my local dealer to give me a CRD on the Employee Pricing plan.

Wondering if anyone else was luckier than me and got one on the EPP ??

Couldn't you try to just straight out haggle with them? Or is the CRD one that they won't do anythign with?

according to jeep website, crd is not a vehicle available for ep pricing. Thats what I hate about chrysler. When they have a vehicle thats hot selling they try and grab you for sticker, or sticker plus (aka 300c) and if a vehicle is a dog, they will try and get rid of it for cost. There does not seem to be a happy medium with them, which I think creates bad feelings.
I have a long memory. I used to be a loyal dodge, chrysler, person, but when I was first interested in buying a car recently for my wife(it was between a 300c and a tl, both which are hot sellers, the dealers near me for the 300c, were actually asking more then sticker, and were pretty cocky and arogant about it, the acura dealers, were willing to deal, and I wound up picking up a great deal on a wonderful car.
The liberty I purchaed, will probably be my last chrysler, dodge, jeep purchase.
As I have stated, I recently tried to buy another liberty, and they not willing to negotiate below the e.p. price, even though I purchased an identical equipped jeep a year ago, for a lot less (same year vehicle). They took that attitue.

Much regards Flatfoot

The CRD is excluded from EP per the commercials I've seen on the tube.

Nope.

I tried (in vain) to buy a CRD with the EPP. I wanted one BAD. :(

Ended up buying an Inferno Red Rocky Mountain Edition Renegade. Real Happy with it (so far)! 8)

I didn't get employee pricing but think think that the bottom line was real close. I was happy with the price I paid. I read somewhere that DC doesn't make money on the CRD's yet since the production numbers are still low. The 4cyl gas is gone for 2006 and the 3.7L and CRD are the only options so they must expect to sell a lot more.

I got my CRD before the EPP program came out. I went in there with my companys partner program and they didnt want to honor that. But I told them that the CRD was not excluded and if they didnt honor that i would walk. I actually had to take it up with the owner of the dealership. But did get the partner price. I guess they realized that giving a good price on 1 car isnt worth losing the many more that we will buy later.

FYI, the Renegade and Rocky Mountain Editions are two different models. :)

I haven't like EP from the start, which has actually been in effect since at least Feb. if you were a recent college grad. What I didn't like then is what some don't like now. With me the dealer would not haggle at all on the price  . For those who don't know how or don't like to haggle, EP is great. To haggle I had to start looking at used, which wasn't really a bad idea anyway.

Ask for the dealer hold back money back. It's twards the bottom of the invoice and has HB: $995.00. THats what ours was for our CRD. We haggled that back for us. All it is is dealership profit. Tell em if they won't then there is nothing to discuss and your done.

Ok......Now I'm REALLLLLY confused!!

Isn't the Rocky Mountian Edition "based" on the Renegade ??? :?:

My RM has the flat hood (no eyebrows like the Sport and Limited has) like the Renegade. :?

yes, the rocky mountain ed. does have the new flat hood and grill, but the renegade has the riveted fenders that are not painted like the body. Also the renegade has fog lights mounted on the front bumper and from the jeep website picture the roof rails are different on the 2 diff. models.

Right so the Renegade is what the Rocky Mountain Edition started life out as. 8)

I'd say the Rocky Mountain Edition started as a Limited and then got a nose job to look like a Renegade. ;)

The interior looks like a Limted with all the silver trim, and it has Limited bumpers and flares.

Not that it's really important either way. It's a KJ and that's all that matters here! :D
