Check out the electronics section, you'll find everything you need to know. I'm running a Cobra 75 handheld with a 3' Firestik antenna mounted on a door jamb mount. |

Handheld radio shack cb with magnet mount antenna. I put the antenna right infront of my cross rails to help hold it in place. |

Im using a Cobra CB 19 DX IV with a weatheraband glass mount CB antenna from Radio Shack. Works great! It looks like a cell phone antenna and surprisingly it has great reception. I got my Radio tuned with an SWR meter from raceinfan (thanks Pete! |

I have mine installed inside the console between the front seats. magnet antena mount (I don't use it often). I just strung it under the back seats and it gets shut in the top of the door when in use. |

check out my web site and/or the sticky here (electronics or tech, I forget). I think it's page 10 on my web site. I created a way to mount a 3' CB antenna in place of the stock am/fm antenna. Great reception of all three bands. I use a handheld Cobra 75x model, which I run through the car's stereo! I plug in an fm modulator inot the external speaker jack. this allows for good volume of the cb through the speakers. Very nice. |

I have a uniden mounted under the drivers seat since I only use it when wheeling or on road trips. For the antenna I made an angle iron bracket that bolts onto the spare tire mount. Very simple and cheap but effective. You just take off the spare. Unbolt the top two nuts. Then measure, drill, notch to accomedate the lip of the mount, dill the hole for the antenna. Install the antenna route your wire under carpet to drivers side rear trim panel out the wiring harness loom for the rear door make a small slit in the rubber boot and voila. I'll take some pics if you want this weekend. Parakeet |
