Well, My Renegade has a wind loss or wind resistance sound from the rear doors (or door windows). Mostly from the right rear door. It starts really making noise at about 55+ MPH. I have fiddled with the seals a little and experimented with different door shutting forces trying to get it to quite down. But, it still persists.

Do all Libertys have wind noise from the rear?

Does this sounds like a problem that could be serviced? Do I just have really good hearing? Can I be serviced?

Christopher

My noise comes from the sunroof, until I slide the cover shut that is.

Sorry, I can't help you with this.
It seems like there was a post earlier on this though, maybe in the TSB section.
I was a little confused at first though by the topic "Wind from the Rear?"
Maybe it was the mexican food I had for lunch though.

Thanks OKJeep!... I found the other discussion on the Cabin Noise in the TSB section. I guess this one can fall off the board.

I get wind from the rear all the time. It's either me or my 3 year-old that does it, though.

I tell my kids it's my invisable pet duck.

Seriously though, the dealership would need to adjust the door for the noise to quit.

Are you talking about the helicopter buffeting noise?

Well, if you roll the rear windows up 1/3 of the way, it will mostly go away.
I built one of those wood shelves to cover cover the rear storage and it went completely away. I can have all the windows down and the sunroof open. Unfortunately my MTRs make a whole hell of a lot of noise now.

My 2yo daughter has a "ribbit" and our best friends boy has a duck.
Both noisy, smelly, ellusive animals.

I believe you are thinking of the rear window noise called buffering. When the rear windows are down at speeds and wind pulses can be heard.

I am referring to a niose when the windows are up all of the way.

To All,

I went to the DS yesterday. My Friend/Dealer mentioned that there were 3 other Libertys that have been through the service department this week for door adjustments. All owners complaining of rear window up wind noise. Was the jig off it's rocker last June, or what?

Find out the exact date and which line it rolled from.

Mine was from the Toledo North plant. I can't recall the date in June though.
