 Post subject: NEED HELP QUICK PLEASE (INSTALLING SKID PLATE)

I just got in some skid plates from mopar for my 05. I bought the transfer, transmission, and front suspension skid plates. I figured out where the transfer and transmission plates go but i can't figure out the front suspension. yeah im dumb whatever:) it didn't come with any pictures or anything, just 4 bolts and 2 rivet type things. please help

the front skid has 2 holes on the front bottem of the x-member, and uses the same rear holes that the trans skid uses. should just lift right into place.

thank you, i figured it out. does anybody know of anyone having problems with one of the rivet things stripping out or not holding in the hole while you try to tighten the bolt down. i had one of them do that on the transfer case skid.

just wondering

Those nutserts are horrible. I just stripped on of my tcase skid inserts the other day. Not sure how I'm goint to get the remains out of my frame...

3 should be ok, but if you can get your dealer to give you another one it wouldn't hurt to use it.

Make sure your tranny skid goes under your front diff skid so that there is nothing in the way of a slide.

Have you tried a screw extractor?

what is a screw extractor. not very mechanically inclined here:) does it work? where do i get one?
