Occasionally, when I turn the key to start my new 05 Liberty, all the gages will sweep clockwise and then back. It does NOT do this everytime the truck is started.
What's going on with it ??

Occasionally, when I turn the key to start my new 05 Liberty, all the gages will sweep clockwise and then back. It does NOT do this everytime the truck is started. What's going on with it ??

do they just do it a tad? Mine will every now and then do it slightly, I swear im seeing things but i've seen it more than once. No way to predict it......guess its just chryslers wonderful electrical system their known for...lol |

It should do it every time the key is placed in the on position(before you go to start)......mine does. I wait till they complete their sweep before I hit the key to start it, AFAIK its a self-test/self-calibration for the gauges. All the medium/heavy duty truck I've drove in the last 10yrs have done this too no matter what make they were. |

They do NOT do it everytime.
