And for a recap...
1&2) The small tongue is great for flat rock rails. Those items they talked about from the fabrication section are great ideas and would help you out also. Hi-Lift does make their bumper lifter attachment and the other attachement that lifts the Jeep up by the tire. Great if you don't have a bumper or rails. It's handy for getting the tire higher to stuff things in the hole you may be stuck in. For changing a tire you'd need jacks too. You also could insert the Hi-Lift into the receiver hitch but it may be scary and dangerous. (I guess that could apply to using the jack at all)
3) Just take the base off the 48" jack (be sure to not loose the cotterpin) and it fits great under the backseat. Nice way to keep it secure for free. The chair brackets keep it from going forward in the case of an extreme stop and the doors keep it from going left or right.
Like they said, a bottle jack can work great for you also and if you do need to use the Hi-Lift, definately open the doors first so you don't dent them and
pay attention as you're using it to make sure you don't put yourself or others in an unsafe situation.
