Post subject:  Switching Seats

Hey all, I wasn't too sure where to post this topic, but here goes: I've beat the heck outta my drivers seat. I mean it has cuts, cigarette burn holes, gouges, grooves, and numerous other "indentations".It's all worn out and not very comfortable anymore. BUT, my passenger front seat is still in primo condition. My question to everyone is would it be plausible to switch the two seats with one another? Has anyone had any experience with this or with something similar? I'm most worried about the seat belt buckle receiver placements and whatever sensors or other tomfoolery going on under/around the seats. I've got dual front airbags, so I'm pretty sure I won't need to worry about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The passenger seat has a sensor in it for the airbag. Not to sure how that would work out? If you could just switch the padding and cover it would work just fine..

Great idea, look into just switching the seatcover and padding...You could even just add a little padding and switch the covers, might work out.

I know the covers for my libby come off fairly easy...i had to wash them one day when my friend thought it'd be a good idea to play in the mud with my jeep with the windows down while i took a leak in the woods...

The covers have holes in them for the recliner handles, you'll need to cut holes if you swap them. Should be able to find a seat in a junkyard easily though.
