U do not have to change the shocks, but it will limit ur flex when off road, its really up to u. Not sure what shocks are the best, i think everyone goes with rancho, not sure which ones though. I think u can fit 245/75/16 on it, without much rub, some ppl trim the pinch weld though on the fronts. Wait for more responses, i dont even have a lift, so i cant tell u how it rides either. |

03 Sport. I had the revtek spacer lift installed. Also installed rancho shocks on the rear (stock struts on front). I was not happy with the level. The Jeep looked low in the rear. So ... I replaced the 2 inch revtek spacer on the rear with a 2.5 inch daystar spacer. That brought it just about level, but not quite. So ... just this past weekend, I added another upper coil spring isolator pad (stock rubber pad) to each side in the rear. Now, the level is perfect. For some reason, I think the 2 inch revtek lifted more like 2.5 in the front and that is why I had to change the rear. Anyway, I'm very happy with the results and the ride is much better over bumps and dips at speed now. A side benifit was that whereas it used to pull to the right, the Jeep tracks straight after the alignment required by lifting. I got the daystar spacer and rancho shocks at ALL J Products http://www.boulderbars.com/kjproducts.htm . I ordered the extra isolator pads from JPARTS http://jparts.com/catalog/ (part not listed on their website, I had to email them with parts request). Can't remember where I ordered the 2 inch revtek lift from originally. |

I have had my Revtek lift on for a little over 2 years now. I replaced the rear shocks so my rear travel wouldn't be affected. The ride stiffened up a little. But I always considered the ride mushy before that. Now it's right were I like it. Off road the ride is better than stock. The only rubbing issues I had are on the fog light doors. A little trimming took care of that. No rubbing on the pinch seam. I am very happy with my purchase. Joe |

I've had both of the spacer lifts from Rocky Road. The OTT should be avoided at all costs. It killed the front struts after 20,000 km. The combo lift has been fantastic both on and off road. I run it with Ranhos on the front and rear. 30,000 km and no problems whatsoever. The ride is a bit stiffer and feels much better than stock. Very Happy with this product. DCLjeep |
