Anyway, my best guess is that a door was slightly ajar. The Jeeps movement was intermittently making switch contact. When the switch was not made, the BCM module simply "saw" it as someone opening the door. When the switch was made, the BCM "realized" you were traveling greater than 15mph and locked the doors. That's about all I can figure. Door was not completely closed or you or your passenger were absentmindedly playing with the remote or your right hand didn't know what your left hand was doing over there on the armrest.
