Ok, my birthday is coming up and I want some new floor mats that will protect the carpet against all the elements. So any recommendations, what is the best out there? thanks. |

I've heard Husky has some good ones...the Jeep/Mopar ones aren't too bad, but they sort of stain whatever mud you get on them, or at least mine have...I have the carpet ones as well, but I 'd rather tear these up day after day then the carpet ones so...but as far as cupped edges to "trap" stuff in, it doesn't quite work that well, lots of stuff usually gets past it since it also about the same size as the carpet mats, just they are rubber and have a big Jeep logo on them...like I said, try Husky... |

Dear Sport, You are from Tampa, and you still need all weather floor mats? I am envious of you, because I just drove to work with a blizzard and 5 inches of snow. I purchased the dealer "Slush mats" with the jeep logo. They fit perfectly (obviously) and do a very good job of trapping all of the muck. Good luck and happy birthday, Steve

The Husky Liners will do the job. Some say the Highlands are great also.... Make sure you see the Floor Liners, not floor mats. |

Tokyojoe, I am in Highlands Ranch where I teach p.e. at an elementary school. No delayed start or anything. Right now I would say we are at about 8 inches of snow and counting. Have fun on your day off!! Steve

I have the MOPAR all weather mats. They do a great job for holding salt / water and debris during the winter months. My only compliant is there could be more coverage up near the accelerator pedal. The carpeted floor mats see summer duty only. |

You want to watch the floor mat around the accelerator. There's not much clearance there and a mat that has moved forward a little bit has been known to stick on the edge of the mat and give you no control, and a runaway. Not fun. |

get the husky's. I've got them and rarely ever have to vacuum the carpet underneath (usually some specs of random stuff slowly sneak under), and i've never seen any dirt actually get under them, and they have a lip all the way around to keep the elements in the liner's "tub". I got them because when we bought my KJ, the carpet had a nasty 2.5 inch hole in it to the point where you could stick your fingers through it and feel around for metal stuff. Oh and they don't budge....they have really good grip spikes....most i've used before break off. I've had these since January and have removed them several times, and they never have lost a spike yet, and they're still sharp enough to poke some holes in ya (ouch) |

your talking about that little hook that is in the carpet and the hole in the rubber slush mat going ovr that to hold it in place....Well that didn't work for me, the frigging slush mat hole is too small to get around that hook and stays elevated right there...granted I've never had to deal with it getting jammed under any pedals but it is annoying to have a hole in the mat that you can't use...then again I haven't tried to cut it more to get it to fit either....hmmm....Husky's are still nice though... |

I got mine to hook in place: the hole in the rubber mat is small so no debris falls in there. Just work at it and use a bit of leverage. It'll fit right on |

The Huskys are nice and all but for $130.00 + front and back I could get some pretty decent autozone cheapo liners (which I did), a K&N drop in (which I did) and have enough left to change my oil twice with Mobil 1. My .000000000000000002 |

that is alot of money but I do like how the back covers the hump. I think I will go with mopar and buy some other things with the extra cash. |

I think my highlands were $80 front and rear. I love them other than the rear not covering the area around the hump. I put a towel under them to protect that area..

I second that. I picked up some awesome all weather mats, at the grocery store of all places. Thick plastic, excellent coverage, and cheap, they did come from a grocery store
