I called the dealer to get a tranny skid plate and they say they only list the transfer case one and the gas tank one...does anyone have a part number?

Transmission skids are only for '05 and newer models but can be fitted to earlier models with a little tweaking. Jparts.com
has them for a good price.

You need to change the postion of one hole on the driver's side rear if I remember right, or just do a drill thru and long bolt at the existing hole. Your choice. All the others line up so it's not like you have to hold it in place while you decide what you want to do. Took me 10 minutes tops to install on my 2005 CRD, wouldn't take much longer to install on the others.

I just put mine in, was fairly simple, had to drill one hole and pound down one section so the exhaust would clear it, can be done in 30 mins easily.
