Post subject:  Job hunt! Need your help!

I parted ways with my employer this afternoon and I'm now in need of a job. I thought it would be good to post here since we have so many members.

I'm primarily looking for a job with a defense contractor doing communications, and preferably in Texas, but I'll gladly talk to anyone who wants to make an offer.

I'm former active duty Air Force, now a Reservist. In the military I'm a 3C251 (Communications-Computer Systems Controller.) We deal mostly with long haul high bandwidth trunks, but also do some local networking stuff as well. I have a lot of experience with cryptos (KG-84, 89, 94, 95, 75, 175, 189, KIV-7, 19, etc.)

My civilian job was with Rackspace Managed Hosting where I built, configured and maintained web servers for a great number of companies, both large and small.

My resume is available here.

Thanks everyone!

I've been trying to decide when my last day was going to be for a while now, but I wasn't specifically planning on today. They didn't pay quite what I needed and my schedule (because of Reserve duty) was becoming an issue as well. There were other things, but I'd rather not get into them.

And no, hopefully I won't go back to posting all day long, as I'd like to find a job SOON so I can continue to own my Jeep. ;)

Pepper: Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to take a look.

I can check around at my company. We are Titan Corporation, defense contractor just purchased by L3. We do a lot of communications work here, along with integration. If you email me your resume I will send it to the folks at HR, although we are located in San Diego... Let me know, but don't get your hopes up... James

There is a L3 here. It's close to TSTC airport. I don't know anything about your type of work, but I'm willing to help. Let me know if you need phone numbers, addresses, or anything ese from L3 - Ican get this info for you.

Jeremy,

Colorado has a lot of high tech government jobs here since we have Space COmmand here. They are always hiring comm people, especially engineers.

Peterson, Shriever, and Buckley are all Spae bases.....and lots of great off-roading places too. All win situation.
