Post subject:  trans temp lite on-STILL

I tried all your suggests to stop lite from coming on. The fluid looks ok, and its the correct level. At slow speed(15-20 mph) on forest roads and uphill grade and temps about 85 F the light comes on. I stop put trans in neutral and rev engine light remains on. Took it to the dealer but they say they can find NOTHING wrong-with trans or computer codes.

Does anyone have a place to look for a problem??

Just live with it...unfortunately. I've had two dealers tell me the same thing. So far the tranny is just fine despite the light coming on repeatedly. Are you in 4-low when the light is coming on? I've never had it happen in 4-low, but 4-high is another story. :?

I know you said you have been trying all the tricks, so I am assuming you are using 4-low. I typically keep the shift lever in 1 and up shift when the RPMs start to hit about 2500 and also down shift to back to 1st when I come to a stop, going really slow, or climbing a steep grade. Essentially use 4-low and the lowest gear possible.

If so don't know what to really tell you. I've never had my light come on, even with some pretty darn steep climbs at well above the tree line.

Since I've been putting it in gear 1 or 2, I have not had the light come on.

When I had it come on I was in 4 hi, drive went from 4,000ft to 9,000ft. Around 7,500 feet it came on. Stop, put in netrual went off, I then put it in 1st and contuine - was fine after that.

Oh, was around 80~F.
