I just wanted to do a little promoting for those that never check out the Moab section.

LOST does an annual event in Moab Utah every April (last week- not during Easter Jeep Safari).

In 2007, I believe it will be the fifth annual LOST event. All LOST members, lurkers, and friends of LOST and LOST members are welcome to come join us for a fantastic week of fun.

You do not have to own a KJ to join us. You don't have to go off-roading to join us. You don't have to drive to Moab to join us.

You can:

1. Rent Jeeps there.
2. Explore some of the most amazing rock formations, canyons, and rock arches found on this planet.
3. Rock climb.
4. Catch a ride with other LOST members and friends.
5. Go camping.
6. Go mountain biking (claimed to be the best mountain biking in the country).
7. Go road biking and see the sites.
8. Float, raft, kayak, or canoe down the Colorado River.
9. Go hiking.
10. Kick back and relax

Come join us.

Check out the Moab section in this forum for pictures of past events and to get info on the 2007 event

At the time of this post, there were 38 signed up (82 total people - kids, spouses, significant others, friends). Dogs not included.

The KJ Expeditionary Group has plans to perform a partially supported Overland Expedition from Toronto, Ontario to Moab Utah in 2007..... dates are not firm yet.....it will be in support of, and to raise awareness and charity for Central and Southern North American Wildlife and ecosystems.

As the dates aren't firm it may conjoin with the LOST event......however reality may be pointing to a June or July Expedition.....either way.....we'll be there at some point ;)

Gonna be hot there in June/July. Make it April and see it with the rest of us.

Yes, extremely hot there in June and July. Expect hitting 100 degrees. Kj's will not be happy. Might rebel against owners.

One thing TokyoJoe didn't mention was Backpacking. There are some outstanding backpacking trips in Canyonlands NP. http://www.utahtrails.com/ has a bunch of information on both backpacking and jeep trails in the area. Anyone who is flying in and wants to backpack, send me a PM. Although this trip is all 4x4ing, I can tell you want to expect (and even help with some equipment if need be)
