How in the world do you get it out of the plastic holder after you unbolt it from the floor? The Liberty's manual shows the jack already out of the holder. ![]() Thanks, T.J. |

I believe you just need to turn it down. Its shipped extended to compress against the holder. |

yup, just turn it so its completly compressed. It should then wiggle out. It gets stopped on one side due to the way the plastic is to keep it held in place. |

Now that you have a lift, make sure you carry some 2x4s as base for the stock jack - otherwise you will not be able to get the tire off the ground to change in case of a flat.... |

Also if you are in wreck like FLJeep was and myself, most likely the jack will fly out from it's position underneath the passenger bench....thus i installed a block of wood from bench support to bench support to prevent stuff from flying out from underneath the bench seat... |

When did Jeep change from a bottle jack to a scisssors jack, every liberty jack I see for sale on ebay is the bottle type, the parts break list for 05 pictures a bottle jack, but the jack you get is a scissors. Bob |

Quote: Everyone I have seen in the U.S. comes with a scissors jack. Replaced mine with a bottle jack right after I installed the lift. |

It does but it was sheared off and the jack flew underneath my front passenger seat...i'd feel sorry for a passenger of mine in the back if they were sitting there when that thing launched out at their achilles.... ![]() |

The 2 x 4 idea is valid with an unlifted Liberty too. When mine had a flat the jack wouldn't raise it high enough. Stock height, stock tires, on level pavement. Maybe it was a Compass jack? ![]() |
