I'm dreaming of ripping out the carpet and putting in a washable, durable rubberized floor. Anybody with suggestions or experience?

I wonder what ripping out the carpet and applying Rhino to the floor would mean come tradein time. My cat (actually the kid's cat) pissed on the carpet and I am having a tough time getting the smell out. Something tells me that ripping the carpet out would make a dealer cringe

LOL, or you could sell it outright and call it "custom".

I was thinking that with a tough floor and a few floor drains, it might feel very "custom". Worse comes to worse, install carpet before you sell it (mo mo money).

Thanks for the suggestions1

p.s. I got baby milk/apple juice/kayak boot-juice in mine. Cat piss wins hands down, though :)

OOOOh! Cat urine is the worst. Only way to get rid of the smell without ripping out the carpet is organic enzyme odor remover.

Cats do it in the litter box. No issues there. My cat has never pee'd anywhere but in the litter box. No territory marking either. Fixed and no challengers. He's more like a dog.

I think Rubber floor would be great. Give solid shoe grip but possibly noisier interior. AND it wouldn't look as good.

Personal choices.

The only problem with a rubber floor is what to do with all of the cables that run through the troughs under the carpet. You'd have to put some sort of steel plate over them or something.

You could potentially make a rubber floor into a whole badass interior

DETAILS PLEASE!!!!! Tell me more about this organic stuff. Have you used it in the past? If this works your Karma rating will go through the roof. BTW, the cat got out of his crate on the move to Texas. Before I could get off the interstate the cat did his business.

Trust me if this wasn't the daughter's pet I would have taken a more "proactive approach" to ensure this would not happen again. Did you know that spotted grouper LOVE whole cats?

Enzyme stuff - It's called Nature's Miracle - but I know there are other brands out there as well. Your local pet store should have it (call first though so you don't waste your time.)

Several Veterinarians I know use it in their kennels.

ODOBAN!!! LOL. Step mom used to make me spray that stuff in my bedroom, bathroom and on all my hockey gear too. It did work well. I'll have to find some for the old cat and puppy stains that have accumulated.

back on topic though, I would love the rubberized floor in my jeep. I thoght there was somebody on the old boards that had done the cargo space in rhino or line X. I know Wally did the outside of his Jeep and it looks bad stupid.

I think the rubberized floor would be awesome!! Especially with the salt in NH...my poor carpet on the drivers side is all wierd now...I can't get the salt off it. One year the salt started "growing" on the carpet...and it just refuses to come off! I am disappointed with the Mopar floormats...they don't fit very well at all! I would love to be able to wipe down my interior!

Full rubberized floor could be nice... I'd like to see picks.

I have gone to rubber mats that work fine for me.
