i got some autolite coppers, should i have gottten something better? like bosch's or even ngk r's?

is it neccesary to run a higher end plug?

we also pulled a code with a scanner it was misfire number 5 cyl. so i figure change the plugs right? i have almost 34k on the 3.7

Misfire can mean ALOT of things. From a bad spark plug, to a bad valve spring. I do not believe the springs would be bad at 34k. Id wait till around 100k then the springs should pop.. 8)

yeah true with my luck it would

we were thinking the starting issue could be a few other things as well cam sensor, crank sensor, dirty fuel, wet fuel, but i figure change the plugs since i have no idea if it was ever done (only owned for 2 months)

Stay with the original ngk's,The fancy plugs will cause problems from my own trials with them,Remember they should be replaced every 30k,Mine were well worn when I changed them..

I wouldn't bother. I run the Autolites. I change them at 1 year.

Stock plug is an NGK platinum, and they are resister type plugs. At least that's what my '04 calls for.

If you still get a misfire on 5 try swapping the coil pack to a different position and see if the misfire moves.

Good idea, see if it is a bad coil. I never woulda thunk of that one!
