04 sport 64k miles, not too shabby. I'm not against spending $$$, but I want rotors with some life too them. I've read most of the post, my question is how well do the irotors hold up and can they be turned more than once or at all? from what i've read they are great, but whats the point if you have to replace them with the brakes? I still think its kinda craptacular that the rotors wore out with the pads. suggestions on other rotors?

Same issue... Pads and rotors go at same time. Dlr won't turn them, neither will Sears (though they have in the past). I reccomend a Strauss or other auto service center. Strauss by me turned mine at least twice before they said they needed replacement. Any one got any suggestions on longer life ones? I need them now as well.

get anything but OEM Jeep rotors. I love the Powerslots that I have, and you can even order them cryogenically treated for even more strength and durability.

The rotors on the Liberty are very thick [read Beefy] and should be able to be turned at least once before replacements are needed. I got my last set of rotors at a Napa store, but they warped withing the first year so this most recent set is from Mopar.

I went with premium Raybestos front rotors and premium raybestos pads front and rear. The raybestos rotors are american steel not chinese like a lot of other brands. My understanding is that the chinese steel wears much quicker. My braking performance has improved significantly over stock and I haven't warped the rotors yet. I was able to turn the rear rotors but just barely. They were very close to the turn-to spec.

The original mopar rotors were turned twice during the truck's first 30,000 miles because they warped so badly. Becuase of this they were under spec at 38,000 when I needed new brakes.

When the time comes, Im getting brembo rotors from tirerack and Hawk pads(ceramic)..
