Please sort this out for me : I have an 02 Sport. My manual says : Mopar Gear Lubricant or equivelant thermally stable API-GL5 lubricant It is recommended if towing to use 75w140 in the Rear It makes no mention of what to use in the front but one would assume if they specifically state 140 in the rear it would normally use 75w90. One dealer told me to use 75w90 in the front, the other 75w140.....what the hell do a use... |

Either will work fine. A little thicker 75W-140 if you feel it will better protect your front diff though. Doubt it would matter for the type of failure we see though. |

I'm using 85-140 synthetic blend and my powertrax likes it the best. |

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... 5&start=15 I just changed my 02 sport with offroad package (trak loc diff) with 75-140 mobil 1 and it is working great. I had the same questions and figured I would just go with the 75-140. See the link above for more info. |
