Post subject:  Tire pressure sensors..

Does anyone know about these things? I ordered some off of ebay but they were for libbys AFTER 04. The guy said they were for 04-06 libbys, but he was wrong. They changed the type of sensors after 04 so that you do not need to train them after you rotate the tires or whatever.

Does anyone know where I could find some of these things? I found some for a 2004 MITSUBISHI ENDEAVOR that have the same part number as mine. The sensors that I got off of ebay that were wrong also worked with MITSUBISHI cars. I wonder is those would work with my libby?

Here is the auction:

Clicky

And here is a pic of mine(on the left, and the ones I got from ebay that I already sent back(right)

Part # of the wrong sensors:

Here is the part # of my sensors I already have:

Ive got another set of rims is the reason I need more sensors.

Thanks for any help.. :)

That is me that bid on them in the auction :(

I've been looking for a set forever and this finally showed up. I'm not 100% positive if they will work or not, but the auction says they are the part number I was told I needed to be compatible with my '02 Chrysler 300m EVIC. It's been drivijng me freaking batty listening to that warning alarm because I have no sensors.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me buy them :)

Does yours beep ALL the time? Mine just beeps 6 times at start up and ive got to hit the step button to make it go away. :(

It beeps the 6 at start up, then about every 10 minutes or so it beeps 6 moer and the display goes back to tire pressure sensor error or whatever. It goes back to whatever it was set on after about 30 seconds.

Jeepjeepster, 52088990AC is the correct part number for your application. They are about $57 list from Mopar.

That's why I have been hesitant about buying these of ebay. I heard about the change too. I have an 04' evic and will probably need the new sensors. I just want to be sure. Probably get them from the dealer.

04 should be the old ones. Call the dealer. tell em which EVIC you got and get a part number for the matching TPMS sensor.

Then go to ebay and buy them. (Unless it IS then old ones, then let me buy them first :P)

Does anyone know for sure if the sensors will work with steel wheels or just aluminum?

I figured they could go right through the rubber no matter what kind of rim you have. I am putting these in steel rims.. So i guess Ill find out when I get them. :?

Someone said I may not be able to train them since I must use the magnet. They said I could have the dealer program each sensor to the evic.. Ill see what I can do when I do find the right ones.

Looks like you got them gris. The bid just ended. Tell me how it goes.

I just added an EVIC from an Intrepid and noticed this right away. Is there not a way to turn it off?
If not...what about buying just one sensor for the spare and training the EVIC to look at just that one?

From my experience the EVIC wants to see 4 of them measured by wave length for determining distance from module. :?:

You must have 5 sensors for the training to take place. it will not work without all 5.. :?

Anybody want to trade? This is silly, I had no idea when I bought my EVIC. Its the top of the line with tire pressure and instant mpg & home link.

You could be right on 5 sensors on DC.After all I have to retrain wheel sensors, flash PCMs,and reset oil change reminder lamps on GM,FORD,HONDA,TOYOTA,not to mention SATURN,another challenge in it'self. It,s hard to remember all this stuff...GEEEEEEZ my jobs gonna drive me to drinkin......

Mine beeps at start up but I hit the reset button and it goes away until I turn off the KJ and do it over again.
