Does anyone have the installation instructions for a reese front hitch. Or is the "front bumper removal" topic in the tech section the basic install?

Basically the same...once you get the cover off you pull off the crush cans, slide the nuts and and finish

I installed mine alone in about two and a half hours. Two things I would add to the instructions that come with the hitch are 1. Be careful where the cover attaches under the headlights, I cracked mine a little before I figured out how it hooks together. And 2. When you go to put the bolts inside the frame, tape them to the tip of a long flat-head screw driver and it goes a lot smoother.

Doing mine was a pain in the stupid. I have a lot of mechanical experience and this was the job that I would say I hated the most of any I have done, it was just a bugger. If I had to do it again, I would be paying someone

haha funny you guys just posted on here because I was going to put up another post. I istalled mine last night...what a pain in the stupid!
-I got the bumper off fine, but then I couldn't get the crush cans off. The screw would turn but wouldn't come out, so i had to pop the one side out from the fram and bend it back. After the instlall, i coulndt get one back in, so i had to rip it off, now I only have one.
-Also, did anyone else have to do some bumper trimming with the reese model???? The hook on it were hitting the bumper so I had to trim around them so the bumper would sit on properly.
-Getting the bolts down the fram tube was like an annoying puzzle. I dropped them a couple times and since I was on a slight hill, they would roll down a bit, I thought i was going to loose them in there and here rattling for the rest of my life.
-Finally, I had a small fender bender a couple years ago. The factory holes didn't line up perfect so I had to drill them out.

What a pain for a bolt on piece!!!!!!!!!!

My Draw-Tite went on real easy, didn't have to remove anything. Drilled two quick holes, Chased the bolts and spacers into place, raised each piece up and installed nuts, installed center bolt, tightened everything to specs, done.

mine was fine for the drilling of the holes and fishing of the bolts, the hard part came when I could not get a socket on to 4 of the bolts, all I could get was a box wrench ant turn it like a millimeter, took like and hour and a half to tighten them.

I did not remove the bumper, that might have made it harder for me but I can't remember where I didn't have clearance....needless to say, if I ever sell the jeep, I'm not taking it off :)
