Does everyone elses KJ take close to 10 seconds to switch vent positions after the selector is switched? Both our old 03 and my new 07 have done this, but the WJ and WK we also own switch much quicker (those are electronic and I believe the KJ has vacuum-controlled selectors).

I was just curious, as it seems to take longer on the KJs to switch vent positions compared to other vehicles I've owned.

It's standard.

HVAC selector is controlled by vacuum so it takes about 3 minutes between the actual switching of the control and the deflector plate moving.

Ahh. Thanks for confirming that. I've owned vac-operated vehicles in the fast with vents that switched somewhat quicker than the KJ....so I was just curious.
