What sort of heavy duty rear bumpers do we have available these days? Sadly our KJ was hit from behind last night. The jeep only suffered plastic cosmetic damage except for the tail pipe. Because of the lift and fuel tank skid much was spared. The other car is twisted and totaled. The corner of the skid demolished everything from the front bumper to the driver side door on that mazda. So anyway, who makes steel rear bumpers that could be delivered in a reasonable amount of time. |

I know Rock Lizard makes one....but reasonable time might be an issue depending on how quickly he's getting them assembled and checked now-a-days...give him a looksy anyway...Rock Lizard |

Rock Lizard, yey! That thing is HEAVY heavy duty. It weighs in at 110 pounds. Very nice construction. Nice welds. As far as I can tell all the sharp edges have been filed smooth. I think a semi could hit it and not dent, but I don't want to confirm that hypothesis. |

The Trail Ready bumber is a bit overkill for me, so it's definitely too much for April (the owner). |

I contacted TR and they said they had them (rears) ready to ship for 885. plus shipping, but if I could find a dealer close that would order it maybe a little cheaper??? They sent me some good rear shot pictures but I dont like that you have to move your spare. |

I have good and bad news. The rear axle housing is bent. The good news is that the body shop found us a limited slip axle to replace it. |
