Anyone ever use the ball your replacement sold at NAPA? I called them up yesterday to see if they had the MOOGs and the guy said no but they have Spicer ones that have a more rugged design than the OEMs. I asked if they had the zerk for grease and he said "I doubt it as they have a new special polymer blah blah blah but I'll check one for ya." He opened the box and said "Wow, they do." Price is $72 online I think he told me $77. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/N ... Suspension |

http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/N ... Suspension I think spicer is now owned by Dana. They make a lot of parts, in particular I've seen them on 4x4's. THey should be good LBJ's and a good alternative for us. |

Well if that pic is correct they don't look any different that the OEM's(they may have used a genaric pic,but dang they look identical to the OEM's),and where is the grease zerk? Happen to have(or could get) a pic of the one one he showed you? I put in K3199 in the non-napa pt# and the same part came up.Got my MOOG K3199's from CarQuest for $60 apiece.

Yeah, the pic is why I called. He walked back into the rack, I could hear him walking and shuffling through the rack, and then opened one and he definitely sounded surprised when he opened the box and saw the zerk. I am planning to stop by there and check them out for myself. I don't have a Carquest nearby, do they sell off the internet and ship? |

For $46.79 and by the picture they show, it doesn't look like those Moogs have the grease fitting. Plus, if DC is going to reimburse you for the Moogs (plus what ever mark-up you can do) it won't matter much what you pay for them. |

The Spicer does have a zerk according to the one the NAPA guy pulled off the shelf. The only thing I have yet to verify is whether it has the same taper that the MOOG has. The Problem Solver by MOOG has a different taper then the OEMs which is what makes them better. The "mark-up" you add has to be on the paper proof (recipts) that you provide DC. |

Do these MOOGs fit the OEM UCA or LCA? |

Lower only, the top B.J. is one piece with the upper control arm. |
