I am...do we need to plan this somehow? Call Rusty's and see if they are up for one? How many people do we need to get?
Sorry for all the ?'s, just want to do it right :D

We had a Rusty's group buy last year around this time (Sep-Oct). We had to get 10 people, but got a great deal.

There might be enough new people here for a big group buy.

I paid $426 last Fall during that group buy. That included Shipping cost, which was still way below the current 2.5" coil lift cost.

I don't rememebr what the actual discount was for us back then. Old age and knee surgery dwindled my memory during that time period.

I think we had like 18 people say they were buying one back then. It was a huge group buy compared to the group buys that have occured since then. I think we did need at least 10 people for the discount.

I just bought my Rusty's lift 3 weeks ago, and he said that they are selling quick, so you might check before you get hopes up.

I paid like $530 to get mine shipped to me in Cali.

That's five (including myself). Anyone else interested, I haven't contacted Rusty's yet but I'm assuming the minimum he would do the discount on is 10 people. I will get a price and the minimum and then we can get the ACTUAL number of people who are willing to do this. Thanks and I'll keep you up to date.

How much does shipping normally cost? Rustys page says the cost is $465 directly.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a lift, but I'm not sold on it, yet (I've only had my renegade for 10,000 miles, and I'm not sure I need the extra height. I may wait until the tires are ready to be replaced and get the lift + new tires all at once.)

Depending on the price, i may be in or not. I was more than likely going to be getting the lift this spring, but i might be able to move it closer to the present time if the price is right.

I am interested depending on the price. I would like the Rancho shocks though from what I have been hearing they are performing much better.

Yeah, we got it for about $380 + $40 shipping on the last group buy, if I remember correctly. It took a while to get because I think that we wiped him out. It took me about 5 weeks to get mine but it was worth the wait for the $45 discount or so...

If possible, don't get Rusty's rear shocks though. Just order the kit without them and put some Ranchos on because Rusty's don't fit right and you have to rig them with washers. After a while they make a clunking noise and you have to keep tightening them down. I gave up trying to make my kit stop making noises. Don't get me wrong, the KJ ride 1000000 times better than stock though.

If that's the case (Rancho's perform better). I wonder if He could supply this group buy with those (Ranco) rear shocks instead? I'll let you know.

we should come up with our own setup of mix-n-match parts. FrankenLOST lift, anyone?

I'm planning on getting a Frankenlift, however I would be interested in a group buy that could bring shipping down. Quinn quoted me about $200 for shipping here to Hawaii, which is what I expected.

Is all heavy stuff that expensive to ship to Hawaii? I had no idea the price difference was so extravagant (my english professor would be proud right now) Sorry for my ignorance.

Take it easy ya'll,

I think if you could come up with a total cost with rancho shocks, we should be able to find ten people who are interested. I have the money right now but I dont mind waiting If needed because Im trying to save for new tires any way.

What is the name of the specific Rancho shock that people are recommending? Does anyone here know?

I spoke with Rusty yesterday. He said that the price he is currently running is pretty low (he said shipping costs have doubled for him and he has kept the price of the lift the same). However, he said he would do SOMETHING for us if we could get a bunch of interested people together.
He told me to call next week after figuring out some numbers for us.
