at idle from the inside, there is a noise, it sounds kind of like a faint coffee maker?? You can feel it thru the t-case lever. it doesn't seem to be shifting any different than it normally does. any ideas what it might be has about 51K miles on it 42RLE 231 |

From what you desribe, I don't think it's the trans. Sometimes the HVAC system makes a noise like that. |

is there a way to tell what fluid you have in it? do you think there might be a damage done if it has the wrong fluid in it and or how long would it take for the ill effects to show? I had the fluid changed about 3K miles ago, and knowing my luck the place put the wrong fluid in.. |
