What the *&^^&*!? I see they wasted no time making a bumper for that piece of doo doo Toyota FJ (Faux/Fake Jeep) Cruiser. Who the hell is really gonna be taking that ramped up Tonka toy on a serious off-road trip anyway? The Liberty has been out for 5 years and they are JUST NOW "getting around" to making a bumper for it? What's wrong with this picture?

I completely agree with you. From a marketing standpoint, vehicles like the Hummer, FJ, Wrangler, and Detroit's trucks have had a very long and successful accessories market. The Liberty has had only five years. Unfortunately for us, manufacturers only focus on which lines will generate the greatest return on investment. I e-mailed my connection over at Road Armor today to see where the KJ and JK development stands. I would love a Road Armor bumper on my Liberty. They look great. When I get word, you guys will be the first to know about it.

Not to steal the thread, but the FJ is honestly a very capable off roader and there are people already wheeling them like they should be. It also came in second in the 4x4 or the year contest next to only the Wrangler Rubicon/Rubicon Unlimited.

Everyone is already on the FJ bandwagon, thins out the herd that will come knocking at your door. The Lib owners have been waiting on the sidelines for how long?

Perhaps.....this would have been better in the Vendors sections.

I dont want to steel this thread or turn it in the wrong direction so let me start out by saying I think it would be great to see more after maket for the KJ
but the FJ will have more after market than the KJ for 2 reasons 1 it is based on the Tacoma suspension
2 hands down it is better ,off the dealer lot in comparable configurations, than the KJ
I like the KJ and fully plan to wheel it where it "fits" how ever the after market world knows that 95% of KJ owners will never take on any thing more than a dirt 2 track
Sure they out number FJ's on the road 5 to 1 but of thoes how many are 2wd DD's? of the 4X4's how many will realy be wheeled?
The after market looks at who the MFG plans to target and builds from that thus the reason you could buy lifts for the FJ befor most of us could even buy an FJ
but yet to date there are only a hand full of companies making any thing for the KJ

Again I would love to get a good bumper on the KJ and hopefuly in the next year or so I will
maby one of these?

FJ's still fit the urban wanna-be off-roader like all of the others. With that, numbers-wise, not percentage, the numbers are probably equal. Yet, down the road when KJ's are paid off, the KJ numbers will jump higher than FJ's. My market analysis which was totally created by playing my version of the Plinko game. 2 out of 3, the KJ won.

In my mind, Plinko is the best Price is Right game. Hands down.
